Bus trip to Downtown Iowa City

Do you want to get more familiar with our bus system? Register for a free bus trip with the Johnson County Mobility Coordinator to downtown Iowa City and back. We will stay downtown for 45 minutes.
Registration is mandatory and limited to 20 people. Some walking will be required. Promptness is essential- bus times are fixed, and you will be responsible for ensuring you are on the bus. Free event – bus fare is covered. You are welcome to purchase food or drink during your free time downtown.

Coralville Transit Buses:
· Route 21 5th Street(there)
· Route 24 Night (back)
Getting Downtown:
1. Meet at the CPL at 5:45pm
2. Board the Coralville Transit Route 21 at 5:58pm in front of West Music on 5th Street
3. Arrive at the Court Street Transportation Center at 6:17pm.
50 minutes of free time downtown
Getting Back:
1. Board Coralville Transit Route 24 from the downtown Court Street Transportation Center at 7:10pm.
2. Ride Route 24 arriving back at 7:45pm.
While downtown, you can do what you want either alone or in groups.
Recommendations:
Get frozen yogurt at Yotopia or other treats at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Visit the Stanley Museum of Art. Enjoy one of many local restaurants (paying attention to the time you need to return to the downtown interchange), enjoy a stroll around campus, visit the Kitty Corner Social club, visit the Iowa City Public Library, or play at the downtown park.
