Board RoomNovel Conversations is a book group that alternates between classic novels and more recent works of fiction and nonfiction. In July Novel Conversations is discussing "Truckers" by Terry Pratchett.
A group of gnomes live inside a human-run department store with their days measured by the seasons of Christmas, spring, and summer sales. No one remembers what it is like outside until a small group of gnomes from outside the store walls arrives in time to find a new home when the store goes out of business. A story filled with Pratchett’s unique and silly style.
Participants are welcome to come to all the meetings or just those that sound interesting. Multiple copies of each book are available for checkout in the library and are, whenever possible, made available in large print, audiobook, and ebook editions.
Novel Conversations meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Board Room.
