Join us for a free movie night at the Library showing "The League".
This documentary explores American history through the lens of baseball’s Negro League. Using archival footage and interviews with legendary players such as Satchel Paige and Buck O’Neil, covering the Jackie Robinson era and the beginnings of the careers of Willie Mays and Hank Aaron, this film shows how the Negro League was both an economic and social pillar of Black communities throughout the 20th century. This film was executively produced by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson. (PG)
