Parents are responsible for transportation to and from Kent Park.
Description: Learn the basics of kayaking on Kent Park Lake! Kayaks, PFDs (life jackets), and instruction provided. While kayaking we will explore for wildlife and cool plants in the lake’s ecosystem. No prior experience needed.
Things you need to know:
Students should wear clothes and sandals/shoes that can get wet.
Should have sunscreen and bring a hat, sunglasses, or other sun protection if desired.
We will spilt the group, so half will be out on the lake in kayaks for the first hour while the other half explores the trail around the lake. Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes that you don’t mind getting wet.
Students may want to bring water to drink if it is extremely hot.
