Novel Conversations is a book group that alternates between classic novels and more recent works of fiction and nonfiction.
Participants are welcome to come to all the meetings or just those that sound interesting. Multiple copies of each book are available for checkout in the library and are, whenever possible, made available in large print, audiobook, and ebook editions.
Novel Conversations meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Board Room and on Zoom. Email Mike Jorgensen for the Zoom link.
Join Novel conversations in September for a discussion of "Okinawa" by Susumu Higa.
This award-winning graphic novel by Higa brings together intertwined stories of different eras in Okinawan history and of its present-day, creating “quiet moments of human connection, even as (the auther) unsparingly documents the ongoing loss of the islands’ Indigenous culture and the suffering of their people” (Washington Post).
