Celebrate your freedom to read! Read banned or challenged* books in October to earn prizes. All ages welcome to join the challenge! Join on Beanstack or pick up a paper log at Circulation.
Read 1 book to earn a small prize, read 2 books to earn a banned or challenged book to keep, read 3 to be entered in a prize drawing for a $30 Barnes & Noble gift card. The Banned Books Reading Challenge at the Coralville Public Library challenges everyone to read challenged* or banned books between October 1 and October 31. To browse a Book List of 50 frequently and recently banned or challenged books, tap "Discover" on the Beanstack mobile app or click on "Recommendations" on the Beanstack website. You can also find books on the Banned & Challenged Books display in the Library Rotunda.
*A challenge is an attempt to remove or restrict materials based upon the objections of a person or group. A banning is the removal of those materials.
