Novel Conversations is a book group that alternates between classic novels and more recent works of fiction and nonfiction.
Participants are welcome to come to all the meetings or just those that sound interesting. Multiple copies of each book are available for checkout in the library and are, whenever possible, made available in large print, audiobook, and ebook editions.
Novel Conversations meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Board Room and on Zoom. Email Mike Jorgensen for the Zoom link.
In July Novel Conversations is discussing the Murderbot Diaries series books 1-4.
This science fiction series features Murderbot, a cybernetic security unit formerly owned by a futuristic megacorporation until it freed itself from enslavement. Instead of killing its masters, it enjoys spending its time watching media and gradually starts developing inconvenient emotional connections.
